Rum Spicing Masterclass at Brix Distillers

Join us for a series of fantastic nights at BRIX DISTILLERS to become your own Master Rum Spicer. Blend your own rum from a variety of inhouse infusions and take your own Spiced Rum blend home to share with family and friends (or keep to savour to yourself).

6.30PM – Distillery Tour

Guests receive a Brix Spiced & Dry on arrival & run through a tour of the Brix Distillery with a deep dive into our rum making process. A further emphasis on the spicing process will need to be applied here so guests can understand how we have made our infusions.

7PM Mezzanine Sitting

Guests will move to the mezzanine where our blending table will be set. Each person will receive samples of different infusions produced at Brix, two mixing beakers and one dropper per person.

Guests will receive two 200ml base rums of Brix Gold and 15ml of a variety of infusions for blending. Examples of the infusions may be:

Classic Infusions:

Cinnamon (spice)
Clove (spice)
Nutmeg (spice)
Grapefruit zest (citrus)
Cacao (rich and oily)
Mango (sweet)

Natives:

Lemon myrtle (citrus)
Finger Lime (citrus)
Lemon Aspen (citrus)
Strawberry gum leaves (menthol/fruity)
River mint (menthol)
Macadamia (rich and oily)
Wattleseed (nutty)

(THESE INFUSIONS ARE YET TO BE FINALISED AND WILL BE REVEALED ON THE NIGHT OF THE SESSION)

Guests will receive a selection of shared light food throughout the evening. Charcuterie/Cheese Plates & arepas.

Guests will receive tasting notes on each infusion, noting the characteristics each will bring to their final blend.

Our Bar Manager & Rum Guru Jai will be hosting and guiding guests through the tour and then blending process.

Guests can take home their own 200ml blends of rum.

Guests will also receive $10 off any bottle purchase on the night & a 10% discount on bill if they stay for dinner.

Evening Concludes 10.30pm.
